Krug and Koffmann’s to hold Christmas pop-up
Champagne Krug and celebrated chef Pierre Koffmann are to launch a pop-up “Kreperie” in London’s Covent Garden this December.
Located on the east piazza of the famous London square, the collaboration will open for a week between 2 and 8 December before relocating to Koffmann’s restaurant at the Berkeley Hotel in Knightsbridge where it will run until mid-January.
Three boxes will be delivered to Covent Garden soon, designed to look like crates of Krug and wrapped with a bow. When opened the boxes will reveal themselves to be French-chalet inspired pods involving a bar/kitchen and dining areas.
Visitors to the pop-up will be able to choose from six crèpes, three savoury and three sweet, that have been designed to match with Krug’s Grande Cuvée.
Flavours include, Parmesan cheese, crab, caramel, apple crumble and pistachio with caramelised pistachios.
A crèpe and a glass of Champagne will cost £35.
The pairing is meant to show that is also a simple pleasure and does not require a grand occasion or complex food to be enjoyed.
