28-50 team announce second branch
Xavier Rousset MS and business partner Agnar Sverrisson are set to open a second branch of their London restaurant 28-50.
Due to open in June at 17-19 Marylebone Lane, close to the chef and sommelier team’s Michelin-starred restaurant Texture, the new venue promises to replicate the French bistro-style, wine-focused offer of its Fetter Lane original.
This will include Rousset’s “Collector’s List”, a selection of wines from the cellars of his private collector contacts, which are made available through the restaurant at significantly reduced margins.
In contrast to the basement location of the City branch, the new 28-50 will be spread over two floors in a space designed to let in more natural light.
The name 28-50 is taken from the latitudes between which virtually all the world’s vineyards are planted.
Wonderful news!! The dynamic duo deserve all the success they get. Moreover, I’m sure I’ll become another loyal regular of their new venue in no time.
Best wishes
Robert
