Gin time at the InterContinental
The InterContinental Park Lane in London has unveiled a new venue, The Arch Bar.
Named in honour of the Wellington Arch, which it overlooks, The Arch Bar is planning to build a particular reputation for its gin range and even claims its own “botanical apothecary”.
To encourage visitors to discover its 25-strong gin selection, including a number of relatively unknown artisanal London producers, The Arch Bar Gin Hour takes place every day from 5.30pm-6.30pm. This allows the chance to sample the bartender’s daily gin special, or try one of the gin cocktails.
Highlights from the cocktail list include Mother’s Ruin, made with Six o’Clock Gin; Tuppence Duty, a mix of Champagne, fresh lemon and Fifty Pound Gin; and Ernest Roots, a new take on the classic Hemingway Daiquiri.
In addition to its gin specialism, The Arch Bar menu features a large selection of English wines and beers. The bar will also be hosting monthly events in partnership with various high-end drinks brands, including Moët & Chandon and Veuve Clicquot.
