Bordeaux 2010 dependent on the wind
According to Christian Moueix, the Bordeaux vintage of 2010 could be good, but not great.
It’s to do with the direction of the wind on Palm Sunday. And no, this is not a spoof: other people have since confirmed it.
The direction of the wind on Palm Sunday is apparently a reasonable indication of the sort of weather that might dominate the summer.
In Libourne, the wind was south to southwest in the morning, and then dropped in the evening. That, says Moueix, could indicate hot, stormy weather this summer.
Whether that’s better for the Right Bank or the Left Bank depends, of course, on where the storms are.
