Wally’s has announced the line-up for its forthcoming Champagne-dominated auction in New York, which will also include a rare 1966 Dom Pérignon.

Taking place on 6 November at Restaurant Daniel on East 65th Street, the sale will feature an array of fine Champagne in recognition of Wally’s sponsorship of “La Fête du Champagne” which is being held in the city next month, and “a prized collection” of rare bourbon whiskies.
Being offered alongside a number of great Bordeaux, Californian, Italian and Burgundian wines, the 222 lots of Champagne at the centre of the sale include: Krug, Salon, Ruinart, Louis Roederer, Veuve Clicquot, Philipponnat, Billecart Salmon, Bollinger, Egly Ouriet, Pierre Gimonnet and a special consignment direct from Dom Pérignon.
In a variety of formats and spanning several vintages, the main attraction will be bottles of the P3 1966, including the rosé which has never been offered at auction before or ever released commercially.
One three-litre (Jeroboam) bottle of the white will be offered at US$4,800-$7,000, while two bottles of the rosé have a US$6,000-$9,000 estimate.
Alongside the Champagne is a collection of bourbon including: Old Rip Van Winkle 10 year old and Pappy Van Winkle’s Family Reserve 15, 20 and 23 year old, George T Stagg Barrel Strength Bourbon 2005, William Laure Weller 12 year old 2005 and 19 year old 2002.
