Two up top at Shepherd Neame
To celebrate the World Cup, Shepherd Neame has brewed a beer called 4-4-2.
Stewart Main, head brewer at England’s oldest brewery, has deftly blended 10 different hop varieties into a winning formation.
“Like a football team, a beer needs to have balance throughout with plenty up front and a sturdy foundation – we like to think we’ve achieved that with this beer,” said Stewart.
“We’re always experimenting on the pilot brewery and we wanted to do something special for the World Cup.”
