Sandeman offers array of rare Port
Port house Sandeman is offering consumers the chance to taste 20 rare vintages from its cellars at the “Sign of the Don” bar in London.
From Thursday 24 April until they are sold out, consumers will have the chance to taste vintages dating back to 1944 by the glass, either singly or in flights.
The vintages which will be available at The Sign of The Don are: 1944, 1955, 1957, 1963, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1970, 1975, 1977, 1978, 1980, 1982, 1994, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2003, 2007 and 2011 (pictured).
George Sandeman of Sandeman Port, commented: “A year ago we declared Sandeman 2011 Vintage Port at The Don restaurant, which resulted in a huge increase in awareness of the quality of our vintage Ports in the 21st century.
“So we are delighted to reaffirm our tradition for top quality vintage Ports by offering customers of The Sign of The Don the unique opportunity to taste through Sandeman’s vintage Port making history with a selection of some of the most exceptional years.”
1975 vintage is an excellent vintage for Tuscany, i loved it so much. now after reading this post i have wish to try Sandeman 2011 Vintage Port.
